ChicBuds Ear Buds Review & Giveaway (CLOSED)

I am not really a fan of “bud” ear phones at all. I have serious issues with them falling out while I am trying to workout at the gym. The only kind I will buy are the “around the ear” ones. When I was contacted by chicBuds and asked to review their product I was a little hesitant. I thought to myself, “These look totally awesome but they are going to be just like the rest!” Can I publicly admit that I was 99% wrong? (Will explain the 99% later on)
I finally had a chance to use the this week. I honestly just kept forgetting to replace my buds with these in my gym bag! Anyone have some memory pills I can review? So, let me first tell you a little bit about these and then I will tell you my experience with them.
As chicBuds would describe them, they are total ear candy! They are pretty snazzy looking too! chicBuds are detailed with genuine Swarovski Crystals. You will definitely not have to worry about your Husband or boyfriend stealing these babies! On appearance, I give them a definite thumbs up!
How do they work? Most ear buds I found at very static sounding. Even with the Base Booster turned on when using my iPod, they still sound like garbage. The chicBuds sounded great. I was VERY surprised that they actually worked as well as they did. As said earlier, most buds are horrible. The thing that I absolutely love best about these is that they are a Retractable set of ear phones! This was one of the things that would have completely sold me if I saw them in the store. I am one of those people fumbling with the darn wires trying to get the tangles out when I want to use them. I have no idea why I just don’t wrap them around the iPod or something.. To easy I guess? On functionality, Thumbs up!
Now where my 1% comes in. When I was walking these were fine, however, when I started to run I found that my arm kept hitting the cord.I almost felt like the “plug” end should have been a little shorter and the “bud” end should have been a little longer. I tried to clip it to the waste of my pants and I felt like it was flopping around and was going to fall off. It never did but I didn’t like the uneasy feeling. Running 6 mph, the last thing you need is to have a cord go flying at your feet lol I also found myself fumbling with the clip a little bit as it turns. In the end I would recommend chicBuds to everyone. I can be a bit of a dork at times so it could have just been me using them for the first few times

It seems there is a big craze these days with getting children to eat yogurt. I never touched this stuff as a kid. i don’t think my mom even bought it! But, like most moms out there, I have jumped on the band wagon. My 6 year old and 20 month old both love Yoplait Very Vanilla Yogurt. Virtual Food Drive Trip #1
When Barb and I decided to do a Virtual Food Drive on The Coupon Cupboard, I never dreamed it would turn into something so big and crazy.
My husband was recently laid off and if not for the fact that I am a “couponer”, I think we honestly would have gone hungry. I have not been grocery shopping since before Christmas (not counting the basic Milk and Bread run) and we have been living off my stockpile. It almost pains me to say that we have almost completely wiped it out. SO, the Virtual Food drive really helped me get my but back in gear and go shopping again. Above is a picture of tonight’s grocery order. Yes, this is just 1 trip for me. (Not everything is pictured) At least half of these items will be put in the boxes to take to our local food bank.
My husband is contacting our local news and everything! Yes, I am freaking out! My goal with the entire project is to delivery an entire Pickup bed PACKED FULL of Groceries. Think I can do it?
Now onto the even more fun part. I shop at Giant Eagle. We currently have Super Doubles here. If you don’t know what that is, it means that they will double a $1 coupon and give you $2 off (up to the price of the item). Needless to say I seek out all kinds of $1/1 coupons! As you can see from my receipt, tonight I bought 316 items for just $2.35. Yes… I really did! This is actually normal for me. If I save less than 98% I am literally upset with myself
How did I get into couponing? When my son was born in 2002, I wanted to stay home with him. This was very important to me. Everything I know is really thanks to my great friend Dawn who pretty much held my hand through the entire learning process! I started out saving small percentages. Every month it would increase a little more and more. Now here I am, almost 7 years later, almost always saving 98% or more on my bills.
Since I have this been given this wonderful gift of learning to shop like this I really wanted to DO something with it. Layoffs in our area from the auto industry are BAD. I want to help others that are going through the same thing we are going through. So, if you will, please cheer me on as I try to reach my goal of filling my husbands truck. I am going to need all of the cheering on that I can get!
