I am a very picky eater and when I heard “Kashi” in the past I always thought something so healthy that it had to taste disgusting. How many of you think the same thing? I am sure I would not eat all of their products but let me tell you about a few that this picky mom actually liked!

I received some free samples in the mail and the kids gave them a go. Normally my 6 year old is pretty picky as well and my 2 year old is a garbage disposal. They tried the TLC Fruit & Grain Bars. Not something I would have normally tried but if it has Chocolate how can it be bad right? The Dark Chocolate Coconut bars were delicious. Now I don’t liek coconut either lol but these were good. A very mild coconut taste. A delightfully sweet combination – a layer of real soft fruit mixed with rich, dark chocolate, plus delicate strands of coconut and crunchy walnuts. Their Dark Chocolate Coconut fruit & grain bars have 4g Fiber and 4g Protein.

Next on the list was the Original 7 Grain Cracker packs. They are a wholesome combination of oats, hard red winter wheat, rye, long grain brown rice, triticale, barley, buckwheat, and sesame seeds—packed to go. These I was not to crazy about. I don’t really care much for this type of flavor but the boys liked them. Surprise Surprise. I guess if it’s in a cute little bag and it’s a cracker it gets the kiddo thumbs up!

And last but not least, the Strawberry Fields Cereal. I personally could not being myself to even try it. The only fruit I like in my cereal is bananas and they have to be freshly sliced. The boys wouldn’t touch it either. Perhaps it is from the days of trying the Strawberry Cheerios? No one here liked those. However, my mom did give it a go and she said it was really good. She saidthe strawberries were good. Not flat and tateless like some other cereals she had tried.

My family lives about 500 miles from us so needless to say we take a lot of road trips.I have a 2 year old and a 7 year old so travel friendly items are our best friend around here. There are so many things out there that claim to do one thing and do something else. It is really hard to find the ones that actually work they way they claim.

We just arrived home from visiting my mom for Memorial Day weekend and I had to tell you about a great product that we took along with us. It’s called the MagnaKase Magnetic Dry Erase Activity Case. Say that 5 times fast!. It is a sturdy plastic case with a magnetic dry erase surface. It serves both as an activity board and storage case, and fits into a standard backpack. The only problem I had with this product is that I have 2 boys and I only had on Magna Play! Of course one always wants what the other has! Royal started out using it while Spencer was asleep and once Spencer woke up, he went on to watching the DVDs. They both had a really great time using it. I didn’t have Spencer whining every 5 seconds that he was dropping his papers on the floor.
