The leader of my Mothers of Preschoolers group, Linda B, inspires me. She has such a heart for other moms and deos such a great job of taking care of her family all the while making sure all of us MOPS moms are keeping our heads above water. Her husband travels a lot becuae of work so she is in charge of the day-to-day life of her three daughters, one dog, her parents and her in-laws all on her own and usually with a smile on her face!

My 2-years-younger sister inspires me. She kicked $18K of debt to the curb @ age 34, then went back to college to become an RN, was diagnosed with the worst possible case of rheumatoid arthritis, and did I mention she runs marathons & climbs mountains? She’s a huge supporter of women’s health awareness, so it seems most appropriate to mention her here (she always does the Komen races in her area).

My grandmother inspires me the most. She lived to be 102 and during most of those years probably thought of everyone elses well being rather than her own. She lived during a time where women stood behind men, but I always remember my grandfather talking to me grandmother seeking her input. My grandmother raised seven children under primitive conditions during times good times and bad. She lived through war, famine, and hardship into the 21st century.

The person that inspires me is Lavonia, an employee of mine. Her mother dies of cancer 3 months ago and she is one of the strongest, most positive person I know. She is sad but she never lets it get her down and she helps others in our office be better people. I am very lucky to have her in my department.

My friend Jules, who suffers from dystonia, works hard to help the people around her feel better (massage therapy). When I first was diagnosed with dystonia, Jules performed a wonderful massage, and wept for me. It was so healing.
I also admire my friend, Kathy, who was paralyzed from the neck down. She has regained much of her upper body function, and she is always behind me emotionally and spiritually.

My late grandmother was my source of inspration. She was a kind lady and never bear a grudge against those who had hurt her or cheated her. She told me that we should always remember the kindness of others, and forget all the bad things they do to hurt us. Even though her right breast was amputated because of breast cancer, she was still optimistic and courageous when facing the difficulties in life. She brought great joy and happiness to those around her.

main entry: It would be my mom who has passed on & My younger siter who inspire me. My mom died of bone cancer at the young age of 54 and had suffered from it 8 yrs prior too when diagnoised. But all thru the pain and the sickness from chemo and every step of her battle with it she kept her faith and hope and her outlook was always postive which I think is what kept her going thru it all because when diagnoised she was told she would only survive 2-3 yrs. She said she wanted to live until she died and she did.I think of her & miss her everyday but try to keep that same outllok that she showed to us her 3 daughters. My younger sister who is a pasture inspires me to keep my faith in all things & God and to live love & laugh and appreciate all blessing I have in my life. God Bless all who suffer from cancer both young & old and keep the faith.

My mom inspires me. She was a single mom of three children and clawed her way up the mountain – slowly, blood is still under fingernails. She went from growing up being told that women get married – and that’s it to finding out one day that her husband just up and decided that being married was not what he wants. So she went from her biggest decision being what silverware to use when the boss comes to dinner to deciding what to do without at dinner to save money. As if her job wasn’t easy before – as a mom – she was then a mom and a provider.

My Great Grandmotehr inspires me she is 88 years old and the strongest 88 year old woman I have ever met. She fell a couple weeks ago, and she still wants to be independent, but now cannot due to her hip. She has been strong throughout her life.

My daughter inspires me because she’s a strong feminist, incredibly intelligent, and hardworking. She’s done work with women’s rights and the poor.

My pastor’s wife is an inspiration to me and everyone else. Even though she has been battling breast cancer for six months she still helps others. She helps other cancer victims and she started a clothes and food ministry to help people who are facing difficult economic times.

My mom is my inspiration for a lot of reasons. She lost both her parents when she was young but still grew up to be a good woman with a kind heart. She married and raised a nice family of 4 children and worked hard in a factory. She’s had quite a lot of surgeries for various ailments but always has a smile on her face.

My sister is the woman I admire the most. She basically raised me even though there was only a 2 1/2 age difference. It was a different world being raised by a single father in the 80s. Thank you
