main entry: My daughters now 28yrs but the first movie we took her to see was The fox and the hound from disney when it was rereleased but the next real first movie she was taken to and remembered was The American Tail when she was 5 yrs old when we lived in elberta alabama and my husband was stationed in the navy in pensicola florida just across the alabama line. She loved that movie Fivel mouse was so cute. I remember she wanted to buy a t hat like he wore they had been selling in the looby but they were out the day we went to see it. I’d love to win this wonderful giveaway and take my only 5yr old grandson with his papaw too and see Jim Carries A Christmas Carol coming out soon in theaters during the christmas school vacation so he will have a great memorie of a fun movie time with his grandparents. We were at the drive-in, I was in between my brothers in the back seat. We were watching a disney movie (can’t remember which one) and suddenly some bats flew out of a box. I jumped so high and in the process spilled my soda all over my brothers. I always figured it was pay back for all the mean boy things they did to me…..LOL!

I remember seeing the first Jurassic Park in the theater. It was a sneak preview screening and I hadn’t heard much about it. I only knew it was something about dinosaurs. It was pure magic. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It was such a thrilling movie. When the velociraptors were hunting the children in the kitchen I nearly jumped out of my chair. The dinosaurs looked so real, and computer graphics were still new so at the time I had no idea how the dinosaurs were done. It was one of the best times I ever had at a movie.

I don’t really have one single favorite movie moment, but I do love a happy ending. When Harry and Sally finally get together, when Luke and Han receive their medals from Princess Leia, when Holly McClane punches the obnoxious reporter, when Ariel and Eric get married and King Triton is there, when Alex nails her audition at the Pittsburgh Conservatory – those moments swell my heart and make me feel good about life.
