What beats good grilled food? (Giveaway)
Since the boys and I have been making it a point to eat out less and eat less fast food, I am always looking for the next new and easy thing to make for dinner.
Last year we started to eat Turkey Burgers and I love them. I was surprised that the boys loved them as well. Barber Chicken Grillables are an all-white chicken alternative to the same old beef burger. Chicken Grillables are lightly seasoned with just the right amount of onion, garlic and other spices. Only 140 calories and 5 grams of total fat per 4 oz serving. These were delicious. I loved that each one was individually wrapped.
Since there are only 3 of us, I was able to make 3 and still have one in it’s own package for another time. Since I don’t have a grill I cooked these in a frying pan. I didn’t have to use anything in the pan with them. They didn’t stick. (at least not to my cookware!) They were nice and juicy, not dry, the touch of seasoning made it perfect and they brown up nicely. We had them on a simple wheat bun with lettuce and mayo!

Donna B. – Just thought you might like to know, above in the fine print it says that tweets need to be spaced no less than 60 minutes apart. Just didn’t want all your tweets to be disqualified.
Our favorite summer side dish is broccoli salad. It has broccoli, raisins, red onion, bacon, and sunflower seeds with a mayo, vinegar, sugar dish. YUMMY!

My favorite side dish is to make cheesey nacho chips! I put Cheddar cheese, cut up tomato, and cut up green peppers, and of course the tortilla chips in tinfoil; it doesn’t have to look pretty, just make sure to cover up the chips! Bake them at 350 for about 5 minutes, and check if the cheese has melted, if not, just a few minutes more. Once done, just put in a basket and serve with salsa.
