Did you know that October is National Pasta Month? Everyone loves pasta, and pasta made with Dei Fratelli is especially great! This is a great fall recipe.
Beef Tomato Macaroni
- 1 (28 oz) can Dei Fratelli Whole Tomatoes
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 1 Green pepper, chopped
- 1 Cup Water reserved from macaroni water
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1/4 Cup Butter
- 8 oz Elbow macaroni
Boil macaroni in quart-size pot. Brown beef. Saute onion, green pepper and butter on low heat until vegetables are soft. Mix beef, onion, green pepper, tomatoes, salt, oregano and the one cup water reserved from cooking the macaroni then bring to a boil. Add macaroni and serve.
