If you are viewing the site on Internet Explorer, you may notice that my menu bar is completely messed  up. It should not be stacked like that. The sidebars are all janky and it’s just a total mess. I have tried everything and I can’t fix it so if you can, please use an alternate browser. I use Firefox and it is fine there. If anyone uses Chrome,  Safari or any other browser, please let me know if it looks okay to you! Also, any suggestions on why it might be doing this would be appreciated! I will leave this post as a sticky at the top until I can figure it out

On February 6th, 2010, I was a pretty shaken and scared mess as I took my boys and moved away from an 8 year marriage. Despite all of the things that my husband and I had done to each other, I didn’t leave because I didn’t love him. I left because one of us had to.

I had spent my entire adult life with my husband and had no idea how to truly be an adult I suppose. By this I mean I had never fully supported myself, I had never lived on my own, I also never had to worry about 2 little boys on top of that. I thought I would never make it. After many push and pull games with the relationship, more broken promises and many many more tears, I knew I had to be done. One year later I am stronger, happier and okay. I will always love my husband, he is the father of my children and they are the most perfect gift that he ever gave me. While I don’t agree or like many of the choices that he makes (and I no longer have to) he IS a good man deep down. Once all of the anger and hurt is gone, we are going to be much better ex’s than we were spouses. Maybe one day we can even be friends again.

During that year, Delightful Chaos has suffered. My numbers have fallen, my interest in posting deals has gone. It’s been much different than the prior year. I often now look at this site and think, “What on earth am I going to post today?” I am grasping it seems to keep the site going.

Since becoming a single mom last year, I am not that much into the couponing and deal hunting anymore. This was why I started this blog in the first place. One would think this would be the time I WOULD be. It used to be fun and exciting to do it. My Dad and Husband were always bragging about me, praising me for the cart full of groceries I was able to get for like $5. (Yes, I was one of “those people”"). It was never really about saving money exactly, I mean it helped A LOT but it was so much fun! I lost my Dad in 2008 to Cancer and he was my biggest cheering section. I started to slow down a little bit on it. In 2010 I “lost” my husband who kept me going with it and supported me through all my crazy store trips of bringing home 20 bottles of ketchup. (I did do some good with it so it balanced out) It isn’t fun anymore and I don’t have the space in my dinky apartment.

Anyway, I am trying to figure out what direction I want to take this blog. I don’t really want to make it to personal for the simple fact that prying eyes crave drama. I really don’t want or need that. I thought about making it a food blog because I love to cook but the name doesn’t fit and, to be perfectly honest, I am not changing the name again. I want to do something that I love, not something that I dread having to update everyday.

“Deal Blogs” seem to be at every turn so…… tell me……what types of blogs do you seek out to read daily?? What would you like to see from me specifically? What would make you visit Delightful Chaos every day? I would love your opinions and ideas!
