Despite all of the things that my husband and I had done to each other, I didn’t leave because I didn’t love him. I left because one of us had to.

I had spent my entire adult life with my husband and had no idea how to truly be an adult I suppose. By this I mean I had never fully supported myself, I had never lived on my own, I also never had to worry about 2 little boys on top of that. I thought I would never make it. After many push and pull games with the relationship, more broken promises and many many more tears, I knew I had to be done. One year later I am stronger, happier and okay. I will always love my husband, he is the father of my children and they are the most perfect gift that he ever gave me. While I don’t agree or like many of the choices that he makes (and I no longer have to) he IS a good man deep down. Once all of the anger and hurt is gone, we are going to be much better ex’s than we were spouses. Maybe one day we can even be friends again.

During that year, Delightful Chaos has suffered. My numbers have fallen, my interest in posting deals has gone. It’s been much different than the prior year. I often now look at this site and think, “What on earth am I going to post today?” I am grasping it seems to keep the site going.

Since becoming a single mom last year, I am not that much into the couponing and deal hunting anymore. This was why I started this blog in the first place. One would think this would be the time I WOULD be. It used to be fun and exciting to do it. My Dad and Husband were always bragging about me, praising me for the cart full of groceries I was able to get for like $5. (Yes, I was one of “those people”"). It was never really about saving money exactly, I mean it helped A LOT but it was so much fun! I lost my Dad in 2008 to Cancer and he was my biggest cheering section. I started to slow down a little bit on it. In 2010 I “lost” my husband who kept me going with it and supported me through all my crazy store trips of bringing home 20 bottles of ketchup. (I did do some good with it so it balanced out) It isn’t fun anymore and I don’t have the space in my dinky apartment.

Anyway, I am trying to figure out what direction I want to take this blog. I don’t really want to make it to personal for the simple fact that prying eyes crave drama. I really don’t want or need that. I thought about making it a food blog because I love to cook but the name doesn’t fit and, to be perfectly honest, I am not changing the name again. I want to do something that I love, not something that I dread having to update everyday.

“Deal Blogs” seem to be at every turn so…… tell me……what types of blogs do you seek out to read daily?? What would you like to see from me specifically? What would make you visit Delightful Chaos every day? I would love your opinions and ideas!

Good morning friends…. I would like to ask that you take a moment to please bow your head for my prized possession. My Dell Inspiron 1720 *sniff*. (I do love this laptop though, NEVER had a problem with it before!) Yesterday morning I turned it on and did my morning routine as I always do. I was drawn away from it by my 2 year old and my battery died. No big deal right? When I turned it back on it was going completely mad. It will not boot up now. I just keep getting the blue screen of death telling me that it is dumping physical memory to disk. Finally it worked for about 30 mins. I sent a few emails, talked to a friend and then it just rebooted. Royal looked up the problem online and we have the impression that the memory is fried but not so sure that is it. Hopefully it is nothing to serious because a new laptop is not in my budget right now. Darn that Christmas holiday and kids! lol But if any PC manufacturer is reading this I would be glad to review a new laptop for you!

I am not sure how many posts that I will be able to get up while I get this issue resolved. I am using Royal’s laptop but there are a few issues with that for me. #1 being that it is one of those 10″ minis and going from a 17″ you can imagine how annoying this thing is to use! #2 being that of course it has non of my information on it, email, programs etc.. I will try to get at least one thing put up a day but I am going to fall seriously behind but will do my best with what I have available.

If you have a great deal or something that can easily be posted please feel free to email it to me to share with everyone else. I could use the extra help right now

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I don’t like putting “giveaway” in the title of my posts so I won’t be doing it anymore. To be honest, it kinda hurts to get so many comments giveaway posts and NOT on a regular post. So I feel like this, if you are taking the time to read my post, then you will have a better chance of reaping the rewards because any and all future giveaways will ONLY be mentioned at the bottom of the post. This is to show some love to my loyal readers. So if you don’t read, you won’t ever know about them.

Entering the giveaways.

Most of my giveaways require one entry and I give tons of bonus entries. Each additional entry is always optional and EACH ONE MUST BE LEFT IN A SEPARATE comment to count. If you don’t follow the giveaway rules I will just delete your comment.

Drawing of winners.

I have several ways that I draw winners depending on my mood that night. Sometimes I ask my Twitter followers to give me a number between 1 and however many comments are on the giveaway. I take the first one who responds. I never tell them any information so there is way of them knowing what the number is for. I also use the Random Number Generator or ask my 8 year old for a number.

Announcement of winners.

I don’t like to devote posts to winners nor do I like to mention it in my posts. It has to do with keeping my blog all niche related…just don’t want that extra clutter;) SO, from now on, if you are a winner, I will email you, contact you via your blog or twitter to let you know that you have won a prize. You will be given 48 hours from the email/tweet to contact me and claim your prize. If you do not contact me within those 48 hours, then you forfeit winnings and a new prize winner will be chosen. I have chosen plenty of second winners in the past! This is for 2 reasons. One–I can’t keep up with a million giveaways, winners, etc for weeks on end. Two–the prize sponsors don’t like waiting, flat and simple. So, add {tonilynn at makmediallc dot com} to your address book because this is where the email will come from! If it goes to your spam box that is not my problem. SORRY!

Giveaway sponsors are responsible for shipping prizes that are offered on Delightful Chaos. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of any prizes won. If you do not receive your item AFTER that time, please email me and I will follow up with them.

As the vintage slogan said, “You get a big delight in every bite.” Florida resident Suzanne Rutland clearly agrees. She’s reportedly eaten more tha 50,000 Hostess Cup Cakes, as many as four per day since her early childhood when she founded a Hostess Cup Cake Club. “Creamy” was the secret password.

“We all have things that we love and can’t live without,” she said. “Some people need their coffee each morning. I need my Hostess Cup Cakes!”

While it’s hard to improve on perfection, consumers have been able to sink their teeth into a few twists on the original over the years, including the popular Golden Cup Cakes, which debuted in 1999.

HOSTESS® CUPCAKES CELEBRATE 90 YEARS AS AMERICA’S FAVORITE CUPCAKE

FIRST CUPCAKE BAKED IN 1919; FAMOUS “SQUIGGLES”

INTRODUCED ALMOST 30 YEARS LATER

Irving, TX – Hostess® is proudly celebrating 90 sweet years of the brand’s iconic squiggle-topped cupcake – the best selling snack cake in history. For almost a century, the delicious icing, freshly baked cake and signature vanilla-crème filling of Hostess CupCakes have made this treat one of America’s favorite snacks generation after generation.

Call it a cupcake caper. Mystery surrounds who “invented” the original Hostess CupCake in 1919, however, we know it was baking executive D.R. “Doc” Rice who, more than 30 years later in 1950, added the signature seven squiggles and vanilla-crème filling. While others have tried to capitalize on the popularity of this ubiquitous decoration, the squiggle – which features seven loops on every cupcake – is unmistakably Hostess.

Hostess CupCakes are the best selling snack cakes in history. And it’s the Hostess CupCake – not the Hostess Twinkie® – that holds the spot as the best selling Hostess snack cake year after year

Americans eat more than 600 million Hostess CupCakes every year.

One of America’s BBQ capitals has a sweet spot for Hostess CupCakes. Residents of Memphis, Tennessee eat the most Hostess CupCakes per capita of any city across the country followed by:

St. Louis

Cincinnati

Las Vegas

Louisville

While it’s hard to improve on perfection, consumers have been able to sink their teeth into a few twists on the original over the years, including the popular Golden CupCakes, which debuted in 1999. Hostess also offers seasonal themed cup cakes including “Baseballs” in the spring – cup cakes with vanilla icing and red-swirl “stitching.”

Captain CupCake, who was introduced in the 1970s, is one of several Hostess snack “mascots” along with everyone’s favorite cowboy, Twinkie the Kid.

The original Hostess CupCake slogan was “You get a big delight in every bite!”
