Holiday shopping is almost always a headache. Every year I say that I am going to start early and every year, I don’t. I think this is because the boys always change there mind about what they want. Last year, 3 days before christmas, Spencer decided he wanted something. While nodding at him, I am thinking to myself, “Really kid? I already bought it all, wrapped it all, and hid it all in places that I hope I can remember.” One year I am just going to wrap some Duracell Batteries and throw them in a box. Here ya go kiddo! Merry Christmas!
My Mom is notorious for buying the toys that do not shut off. I think this is secretly payback for all of the times I misbehaved as a child. You know the toys I mean. The ones that start going off at 3 am because the dog bumped them. The ones that are loud enough to be used as a tornado siren to warm the villagers. These toys are why Mom’s find a glass of wine at the end of the night. Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. Information ahs been provided by SheSpeaks and all stories and opinions are my own, as always.
How many times have you gone to a toy store, breathed a sign of relief when you finally got back in the car, only to co home and realize….. you forgot batteries. They can use the new toys without them right? It encourages the use of imagination. Right, that’s it!… No?
While I want their toy batteries to last as brief as possible, I do look for the longest lasting batteries I can find for other things. After all, I don’t like to get off my butt to change the channel on the TV. Do you? What do you mean that’s why we had kids? I thought that was to see how long we can keep all of our hair. If you have forgotten your batteries, have no fear! You can hop on over to Walmart and pick up some Duracell batteries! Yes, I am trying to help you not leave your couch for any reason tonight. Always happy to help a fellow Mom out. read the rest of this entry »

One of the most annoying things to me is tons of holes in the walls. When I hung my television, years ago, it annoyed the hell out of that there were 4 quarter size holes in the wall. Luckily I couldn’t see them until last month, when I took the television down. Not to mention all of the walls that pictures were hanging on. Between wanting to have a unique look and just not knowing where to start, I am always on the lookout for new ideas.
Having recently moved, I was looking for ideas on how to make the new space feel more personal. With two boys running around full time, I just let things be as they were, plain. Not anymore! I think the way you decorate says a lot about your personality. When you walk into someones home, you immediately get a sense of who they are, or in some cases, who they are pretending to be.
One of my favorite products are custom wall. If you have not heard of these, please come out from under your rock because you are missing out. Wall Slicks offers custom designer adhesive vinyl laser-cut wall decals. They are quick, easy and you can redecorate your house in a day! There is no artistic or technical skill required to apply these wall decals stickers. Even the boys helped out so it’s easy enough for kids!
If you are a Mom, you are already thinking, “Stickers? There is no way!”, because we have all had kiddies sticking stickers all over the walls. Wall Slicks are an adhesive wall graphics that is as easy to remove as they are to apply, and are guaranteed to not leave residue. I can tell you that these are in fact simple to remove. I have removed one in the past with little to no effort at all. Also, with zero damage to the wall, which was painted in flat paint by the way. This makes them perfect for apartment dwellers, college dorms and kids rooms.
These adhesive vinyl wall decals can be used on virtually any surface! Yes, I did say virtually any surface. Their contemporary wall stickers work great on walls, glass, floors, doors, ceilings, furniture, and more! These high- style, designer wall graphics will improve the style in every room of your home. Some of the sayings would look so beautiful in a bathroom. The wall decals can be used in the kitchen, playroom, living room, family room, bedroom, dorm room, even the garage. I would think they would even be perfect for sprucing up the kids tree house.
You can design these any way you like. The have over 400 graphic wall decal styles with sizing and color options available. The nice thing is that the Wall Slicks wall decals look like paint. You would have to literally go up, touch it and inspect it to kow that it was a decal. The thinness of the material used allows decals to blend in with any decor and not look “stickery”. All you have to do is peel and stick it on. It’s a great no mess, inexpensive alternative to paint techniques, murals, stenciling, and stamping. Anyone can quickly add and remove these exciting wall decals.
Have you tried decals in your home? Were they easy to apply? If you haven’t tried them, are you interested in a new look?
