PostHeaderIcon Wisk Deep Clean Laundry Detergent #Giveaway

Holidays mean family, friends, parties and fun. It also means a lot of food, messy kids and stains! Besides stains, you might want to get something to vomit in, did you know the average wash load has 20 times more body oils and sweat than visible stains? Urgh!

Wisk has been around in many homes dating all the way back to 1956 when the first liquid laundry detergent and ultimate stain fighter. Wisk’s liquid form was incredibly innovative because it offered the convenience of pre-treating and washing without all of the hard work. Before the introduction of liquids, consumers pre-treated stains by making pastes out of powder! Wisk Deep Clean laundry detergent cleans beyond visible stains, attacking hidden body oils and sweat in the way you’ve come to expect from more than 50 years of powerful cleaning.

PostHeaderIcon Aloha to Apple Mango Butterfly Kisses

The options when it comes to  laundry detergent can be a bit overwhelming. There are so many choices that a lot of people just always buy the same brand and scent or  just go right for the cheapest on the shelf. I did the “CHEAP STUFF” and let me tell you, having two messy boys, you get what you pay for. Cheap laundry detergent and a lot of left over stains.

I recently received a scent swatch from One2One Network with the scents of the new Gain line. These give new meaning to making your laundry smell wonderful. The scents for detergent and fabric softeners are: Dazzle & Shine, Sunflower & Sunshine, Lavender, Island Fresh, Icy Fresh Fizz, Hawaiian Aloha, Forget Me Not, Floral Fusion, Fireworks, Original, Butterfly Kiss, Dreamy Desire, Apple Mango Tango. Because I love Dragonflies and it was close, I opted to try the Butterfly Kisses scent. Now I have never kissed a butterfly to know what it smells like but I would definitely like to if it smells like this lol.

I don’t like over powering scents and while these scents are strong in the bottle, what is left on the clothes is delightful. I can only speak for the Butterfly Kisses scent on this one. I would be interested to see how the other scents turn out. That is the one thing I dislike about detergents. It’s hard to tell what the after scent will be.

I know you are thinking that these are more money than you want to spend on laundry soap but take me advice from earlier, you get what you pay for! These bottles go a long way if you use them in the way it’s directed.  I do at least 4-5 loads a week so I can understand then expense of products like this.

Some of these have Febreze added to them. If you have pets or smoke, you know what a nice difference this will make.

Are you already a gain fan? We would love to hear from you! Have you tried the new scents yet? Which one is your favorite?

PostHeaderIcon Kick Summer into Drive with All® Free Clear

Bring a single Mom means sometimes looking for a lot of free ways to keep the boys entertained. Now that the gorgeous weather has rolled around, I am not always a big fan of being outdoors. Why? Because when I turned 30, I magically developed allergies. Heck of a birthday present huh? But of course, being the Mom I have to suck it up and head out with the boys. We have a lot of beautiful metro parks around here that you could spend all day at. They are huge!

A lot of space and Royal and Spencer are happy with the smallest of things. On Wednesday we sat outside throwing around paper airplanes. I can’t express how truly proud of them this makes me. What kid wants to spend an hour anymore throwing around a paper airplane? MINE! Amazing how times change with each generation.

With the boys now wanting to always go fishing with John, running around on the playground, walking the trails, and everything else, it’s starting to make me notice allergy season is in full bloom! With allergists expecting an earlier, longer and more severe season than usual,I can use all the help I can get battling this. While you’re likely aware that you and your family breathe in allergens while outside, what you may not know is that those allergens are getting trapped on your clothing.  According to a recent study, who knew that on a peak pollen day up to 7 million pollen grains can get trapped on a large t-shirt? 7 million! All® free clear is the #1 recommended detergent brand by dermatologists and allergists for sensitive skin. Like scented all®, it has its own powerful stainlifter™ that fights tough dirt and stains. That means it’s tough on stains yet gentle enough for the whole family. Plus, it’s safe for use in standard and HE machines. It rinses clean and has a gentle, hypoallergenic formula.

PostHeaderIcon Tackling Little Boys Dirty Laundry

Boys.. messy little dirt playing, puddle jumping, sport playing angels.. Right? Who gets the honor of washing all of those clothes? Mom of course! Boys are just natural born stain magnets. Who needs a napkin when you have a clean shirt to wipe food, mess, and dirt on! Duh… It’s a never ending cycle of the boys coming home with some kind of stain on their clothes. Grass stains on their knees, dirt on white shirts… The best one was when my ex sent Spencer home with a lap covered in caramel from eating ice cream.

Chocolate, grass stains, ketchup, grease OH MY!! How do you get stains out of your clothes so you can keep your family looking their best? New Resolve All-Stains is a dual-action stain remover that rids clothes of stains that simply won’t go away. A trusted name in stain fighting for over 25 years, Resolve offers this new, unique formula that has two chambers – one that has a formula specifically for oxygen stains (dressings, sauces, condiments, coffee, juice, etc), and one for enzyme stains (greasy foods, grass, dirt and chocolate) – to help you tackle any stain you may encounter.  And because the formulas mix together during application, you don’t even need to know what the stain is, and sometimes, you don’t want to ask!  This new product is available now at WalMart and Target for less than $5, Resolve All-Stains will help you take the gamble out of stain fighting once and for all.

My Findings: I tackled some  that the boys came home with. Both boys, both knees and quite honestly some of the worse grass stains they have had. Unfortunately I can’t seem to find my before photo :( but as you can see from the after photo, it did not get it out entirely. Now it did get a lot of it out but to my disappointment there was still a lot left. The stains were also fresh.
