I logged into my blog today to check some of my ads. I can’t believe that I have not posted anything since August! I’m actually quite disappointed in myself for not even knowing it has been so long. I have basically been in my own little bubble world. No kidding? How many parents have this happen to them while balancing a crazy family schedule?
Today it is absolutely gorgeous outside in Northwest Ohio. I should be outside turning my garden but, I feel that I really need to be doing this right now. Aren’t you all happy about that? I know that I have missed you all and I hope that you have missed me as well. I am still active on Instagram because I just love sharing pictures. Believe it or not, I am even a little less active there than I usually am.
As most of you know, we have 4 sons and they are so active it’s ridiculous. It’s a family that I always wanted but also a very crazy family. Some days I am not even sure how I find the time to take a shower or eat. Royal (14) is active in baseball and Karate and is now all about his girlfriend. Oh someone help me! Hunter (15) is all about learning to drive. I try to make this a non-stressful thing but, I love my Jeep and him so I may have a few bald spots! Alex (10) is our Type 1 Diabetic. This is a constant job. Maybe it’s more like an Internship that will never promote you. He is definitely a handful but, there has been a lot of learning in the past year. While I would take it from him if I could, our lives have actually bettered from his diagnosis. He also does Karate and plays baseball. Spencer (9) is such fun. He is so full of life. He is too smart for his own good. He breezes through classwork like it’s no ones business! He’s in baseball and karate as well.
Royal became a freshman this year. I really didn’t know how many more activities there were! From school dances to teacher luncheons, I need to organize better! I am one of those school involved Moms. I coordinate class parties, I make food for luncheons. I try to help where I can but, often I over extend myself. Yes, it’s my fault but, I enjoy it as I am smacking my head against a wall. Thankful for the chocolate Valentine’s Day cake that we split! It was a much-needed chow session. I know, I had to share it. A girl should really never share her chocolate! It’s okay though, it’s not really a holiday that I celebrate anyway but, the cake was cheap. No, we did not share it with the rest of the family. Shhhhh don’t tell the boys!
Royal went to his first high school dance last night with his beautiful girlfriend. After I took their picture, I couldn’t believe THAT was MY son. Where did the time go? It is absolutely crazy to think that I have teenagers. It makes for some very interesting conversation though. Dinners are so much more fun and sometimes a tad inappropriate. Truly, I am thankful they are all good boys.
About a week ago, we also bought a “New To Us” Jeep! I love me Jeep Commander. My first vehicle was a Jeep Cherokee. Patrick’s Chrysler LHS decided it was done so we went Jeep hunting. We found this beauty and it’s already setup for crawling! I can’t wait to take her out. It’s absolutely the highlight of my month. I mean, not that my children are not always the highlight of my life but, the fun we are going to have with her! I can’t wait.
One of the things I have really been trying to do is get my house organized. Back in July, I became a Thirty-One Gifts Consultant. Can I tell you how much I love this job? I don’t love it because I sell it. I sell it because I love it! I have been able to organize so much in my home thanks to it. It’s very difficult to stay organized with 4 boys running in and out all the time. I am thrilled to say that it is coming along nicely!
I hope that you have all been doing well and I promise to post more often. I have let the blog slip away from me and I miss it. How have you all been doing? What is going on exciting in your lives? Tell me about it!
