Keystone Quick Beef Mix-Up for Kids Sport Nights

Enter Keystone All-Natural Beef! I normally try not to use too much “canned food”, but Keystone is premium USDA beef that is hand-packed into a convenient can to make your recipe easier. Their all-natural beef has only two ingredients: beef and sea salt. Perfect for quick meals like stew, stir-fry and more! I also was very pleased when I checked out the label. Since Ales is a Type 1 Diabetic, I looked for the carb count. ZERO! Many “processed” types of meat have carbs. *thumbs up* for Natural and carb free!

This meal couldn’t have been any easier. The rice is actually what made it take longer. You could use premade mashed potatoes instead and that would cut the time down to probably 10 minutes. You can really add anything that you want to this. I am not a huge vegetable fan, so I kept it minimal. Patrick did add some sliced black olives to his when it had finished cooking.
What kind of goodies would you add to this? I am thinking something like broccoli would be amazing. Not that I eat it, but the kids do so, that is a score for this Mom! Do you kids enjoy their vegetables?
- 1 28 oz Keystone Shredded Beef (or 2 14 oz cans)
- 1 can Corn
- 1 can Green Beans
- 1 tsp Dried Onions (or deiced fresh)
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 2 tbsp Corn Stach (for gravy)
- Mashed Potatoes or Rice (cook as instructed on the package)
- Drain your beef into a small pain. Follow directions on the cornstarch on how to make your gravy. I am not the best at making gravy and whing it every time! It just happens to actually work
- In a deep frying pan, add everything else! Keep it on low-medium as you just need to heat it up and don't want to dry the meat out.
- When your gravy is done, pour it into the meat/vegetable pan
- Mix together and serve over rice or mashed potatoes. I served ours over rice and added some fried onions to the time. The crunch gave it a little something extra!
This recipe is truly versatile. Whatever you like can be added to the meat! Get your creative juices flowing and make it a hit at your dinner table!
