A few years ago, I decided I needed to learn to make my own icing and frosting. Those prepackaged frosting tubs are just loaded with bad stuff. Yes, I use them too , on occasion but, nothing beats a home made frosting. I can sit with one of the store bought ones and eat it with a spoon. Yes, I know but it’s oh so good and full of sugar :) This is one of my favorite recipes and it is an easy frosting to make! I hope you enjoy it as well.

Ingredients:

  • (2) 8 oz. blocks Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar (Slowly add 1 additional cup to taste/texture if needed)
  • 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 2 shakes of McCormick Saigon Cinnamon

(This recipe makes enough to cover one single layer cake. For a Double layer double ingredients)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients and whip on low until peaks form and ingredients is thoroughly combined. If you make the Duncan Hines Carrot Cake, this is a fast and simple icing to throw on top
