PostHeaderIcon @Disney The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition Blu-Ray/DVD #Giveaway

The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition Giveaway - DelightfulChaos.comThe Little Mermaid is one of my favorite Disney classics! I am sure that many woman out there would say this exact same thing. I remember when it came out. I was 11 years old and i just had to have it. Of course, back then it was a VHS tape. I even still have the original “controversial” box it came in. I might have been just a little geeked when I hear that it was being released again as a new Diamond Edition Blu-ray+DVD combo pack. When received it in the mail, I made the boys watch it with me. At first they were not too thrilled but half way into it, their faces were hysterical! Was Ariel going to get to be human? Would she get her voice back? Would Eric know it was her?! Oh dear, it was so funny.

I honestly don’t even remember how long it had been since I watched it. The boys were making it really fun asking questions like, “Mom, how do you know all the songs?!” I know, pretty pathetic that I remember them all right? NAH! It’s a great cartoon!

Venture under the sea where Ariel, a free-spirited mermaid princess, longs to be part of the human world. After bravely striking a bargain with Ursula, a sneaky sea witch, Ariel embarks on the adventure of a lifetime. With Flounder and Sebastian at her side, Ariel will need all of her courage and determination to make things right in both her worlds.

If you have never seen this movie, you really should. There are so many Disney movies out there but this was is really the best in my opinion. It’s just not just for little girls, as my boys proved within 10 minutes of watching it. Enter on the Rafflecopter below for a chance to sin a copy to share with your little mermaids and mermen!

The Conjuring #Giveaway - DelightfulChaos.com

Based on a true story, the movie tells the horrifying account of how famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were summoned to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse which they recently bought. In fighting this powerful demonic being, the Warrens find themselves in the middle of the most terrifying case of their lives!

I went to see The Conjuring in the theaters back in July with a few friends. There were so many people in the theater that we ended up sitting 5 rows from the screen. I am a top row middle kind of girl. It was really a weird angle to watch a movie from to start with but when you throw in something that is meant to scare the hell out of you, it’s interesting.

I am not a big horror movie person and in my opinion, if this hadn’t been a true story, it would have bored me. I am not a jumper at these kinds of movies either. I look for whats happening and just expect it. We also had just as much fun laughing at all of the reactions from people around us. If you are into these kinds of movies, history, true stories etc, I do recommend checking this one out.

PostHeaderIcon The Odd Life of Timothy Green Blu-Ray/DVD #Giveaway

The boys and I love to sit on the couch together, huddled up in my big blanket and snacks within reach to watch a good movie. Sometimes we will rent 5 or so movies and spend Sunday as our lazy day. The boys earn it with all of their hard work on Saturdays cleaning their rooms and getting chores done.

We recently sat down to watch THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN. One of the most adorable movies I have watched lately. It is a highly imaginative story about a happily married couple who can’t wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. Then one stormy night young Timothy shows up on their doorstep. Soon they and the small town in which they live learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life’s greatest gifts.

It is a family film that uses magical things to help explain how a couple who can not have children, get their child. There are a few tear jerker scenes through out the movie so be sure you have a box of tissues near by!  If you are looking for a movie that has a positive message, this movie does deal with some bullying but it’s done in a decent way. Life is full of gifts, big and small. Sometimes a single word of “Thanks” can be a gift that lift someone’s spirit. read the rest of this entry »
