WHAT TO CONSIDER FOR THE PERFECT ROAD TRIP VEHICLE
*Sponsored Post*
TAKING A ROAD TRIP, OH MY! In 2013, my family of 3 became a family of 6, interesting human beings, (7 if you count the dog). This required a little more brain power on my part. My Mom and brothers live 500 miles away so taking a road trip several times a year is pretty common for this crazy bunch. We have also taken an amazing road trip to Washington D.C., in the summer of 2016, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last summer.
Most people have a vehicle that holds 5 people because the average family size is only 4. Naturally, Patrick had one of those vehicles. Luckily for us, I have a Jeep Commander that seats 7 people. So, woohoo, I have the Mom vehicle, which is okay because I love my Jeep. Patrick has a Jeep Cherokee which is completely out for traveling unless it is just the 2 of us (like that ever happens) or for whatever reason, all of the children aren’t traveling with us.

I think the most fun I have ever had, while buying a new vehicle, was in 2002. I purchased an SUV off of Ebay. The dealer listed it very low thinking that there would be a bidding war and he would make a fortune. That didn’t happen. I remember sitting there, watching the minutes and seconds tick away. I just knew that someone was going to high bid at the last moment and win it out from under me. To my surprise, it didn’t happen! I picked up the SUV for a steal. It was located about 600 miles from where I live. When my Dad went to check it out, the guy actually tried to talk him out of buying it. We laughed about it for many years after.
