PostHeaderIcon Delightful Chaos needs your help to fight Child Abuse!

A few years ago, my 4 year old cousin was murdered and child abuse is something that really hits home for me! When my friend Rebecca asked for my help with a local story, I was eager to help! If you can help these children out in ANY WAY, myself and Rebecca would be so thankful to you. Delightful Chaos/MAK Media, LLC will be doing their part to help out these little boys! If you do, please email me and let me know, I will give public recognition (unless requested not to). This includes vendors as well!

Written by Rebecca Sprouse:

While this might be a local story, I wanted to reach out to all of my friends to ask for help for two young boys. These two boys (ages 13 and 6) experienced such unthinkable abuse from their mother and stepfather. I cannot even begin to wrap my head around the entire situation.

The abuse was terrible. While I won’t share every detail I will share that the mother and stepfather would lock the 13 year old naked in a closet, where he was tied up, handcuffed and shot with a pellet gun for something as little as “stealing” a honey bun from the pantry. He was also forced to sleep in a closet, where he used a plastic jug as a toilet. You can read the whole story HERE.

I’m sure after reading the story your anger and sadness for these poor boys is the same as mine. Jail time for those parents doesn’t seem adequate to me. It pained me to hear of this happening in the small town I grew up in. While it was a great blessing that the children have gone to a foster home, it’s been bittersweet. The poor boys have only 2 pairs of clothes and no toys. The foster family is doing what they can to provide, however the state of Georgia is not providing any funding.

Bottom line is that this tragic. There is no reason for child abuse and we need to let these boys know we’re thinking about them and that there are still good people out there!
This is where I need your help. I am helping out my sister and a social worker to get donations made for these kids to get clothes, food, toys, etc. This effort was noted on the front page of the paper today. You can read the article HERE.

If you can make a donation that would be awesome!
If you do, please email me and let me know, I will give public recognition (unless requested not to). This includes vendors as well.

PostHeaderIcon Envirosax Helps Foreclosure Pets

The Foreclosure Pet Phenomenon
There has been a disturbing rise in animals left behind to starve or fend for themselves in empty foreclosed homes.  Once discovered and taken to shelters, many of these pets are in need of medical care.

Animal shelters nationwide depend on donations to cover medical costs and to provide food and shelter; however donations are dwindling and many shelters have been forced to cut holding periods from six days to three after which the animals are put down.

But there’s great news and this is where you can help!

Let all your blog followers know that this November, Envirosax is proudly donating $1 from the sale of every pouch (set of 5 bags), sold on the Envirosax website, to the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

Click here to order your Envirosax pouch today and help give these abandoned pets a second chance.
