I don’t usually do reviews on websites, but, when I saw GoForIt.com I knew it was something that had to be shared with other parents! I was really excited about this site. Royal (9) does not manage his time well at all. He is easily distracted and implementing things to help him focus and get things done is very important to me. He has a note taped to his desk at school and even one in the front of his folder to remind him of what he needs to do before he comes home.

It’s always hard to find gifts for the tweens and teens because they either want something crazy or their taste is changing each week.  The options are often high-priced electronics and video games that stick kids to the couch. This year, there’s a fresh, new alternative that will get the kids up, active and out the door.  The Rockboard Scooter is the coolest new hybrid on two wheels!

I am now the Mom of a Tween (OMG!) and I sometimes don’t know what is “cool” to get for him. He has gone through a few scooters in the past few years. (which are all still kicking, literally.) They are all pretty much the same as far as how they work, what you need to do to get moving and such. Right?…….WRONG! I was recently contacted by a company to review a product called the Rockboard. I thought I would go ahead and do it since the boys love their scooters.

I always loved the original Alvin and the Chipmunks. It’s a cute cartoon, funny and good for any age. When it first came out a few years ago, I was interested to see if they boys would like it. They remake so many things these days, you never know! Naturally they liked it. We have the rest on DVD so I will have to make sure to get this one to add to the collection when it comes out!

They are at it again! Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked marks the 2011 return of everyone’s favorite Chipmunks – Alvin, Simon and Theodore. Playing around while aboard a cruise ship, the Chipmunks and Chipettes accidentally go overboard and end up marooned in a tropical paradise. They discover their new turf is not as deserted as it seems. The film will be released in theaters nationwide TONIGHT, December 16, 2011.
