I know there are many kids who have already gone back to school. I for one can not wait for September 1st when Royal goes back. It was a long and busy summer and I think he needs a break from us! With the seasons about to change soon and the kids getting back in their school routine, your child is probably picking up more than the ABC’s in school! Spencer has been walking around for 2 weeks with a Panda Bear on his back. Are you thinking HUH? Well of course its not a REAL Panda Bear, don’t be silly! He received a very special backpack from the nice people at Ecogear. This has to be one of the cutest bags I have seen in a long time. The pictures do not do these guys justice!

When I first received it, we were using it for diapers, wipes and a change of clothes for Spencer. He has become so attached to this bag that it is now our toy bag for when we go out. It fits a lot of stuff! Ours holds 2 coloring books, a pack of crayons, several Hot Wheels cars, a book and other miscellaneous items. Even with all of that there is still more room! Royal can tell you that I am absolutely ridiculous about drinking tap water. He was so tired of me buying bottled water that we moved to a 5 gallon water cooler. This worked out really great until we moved into our new house. We can not find a place to put it that is convenient. The second problem with these is that Spencer (2) is ALWAYS playing with it.

I received the Cuisinart CleanWater Countertop Filtration System and was so happy to get it up and running. When I returned home from California, Royal had it all setup on the counter for me. It so simple to use that even my 7 year old uses it. I love the hot water feature. This was something that I did not have on my old water cooler. I like it because I can make instant hot chocolate for the family.

A few months back we had a company come out and test our water for a full home filtration system. I have to tell you that I about threw up when I saw what I was giving to the kids. It made me even more sick to think that I was putting that in Spencers bottles at the time. Unfortunately the home system was a little more than I wanted to spend then but it opened my eyes to a whole new world. This would be a great unit for baby bottles alone! half hot and half cold would make a great bottle!
