PostHeaderIcon NEW Free Musical iPad Storybook

I seriously can’t keep track of all of these new apps that are coming out these days. You can pretty much get an app for anything you want. No seriously, you can, you wouldn’t believe some weird ones I have come across! There is a NEW musical storybook app for iPad called Mibblio. They just launched their first interactive app! Now kids can read, sing, learn and play music all at the same time! Mibblio is the first interactive musical/storybook app of its kind. With an intuitive design, Mibblio is easy to use and creates a world where children can read, sing, learn and play music all at the same time.

Inside Mibblio is a world of beautiful mibblets – illustrated story-songs that invite children to read, sing and jam while understanding the layers of developing music. Targeted to children ages 3-8, kids can listen to and build upon a song while simultaneously having fun and improving reading skills.

PostHeaderIcon Clorox Power A Bright Future Grant Program

This holiday season, teens  and adults can both support local schools entered in Clorox’s Power A Bright Future K-12 school grant program. For the program’s fourth year, Clorox will award seven grants totaling $200,000 to help fund new or existing school programs.

Teen celeb and star of Disney’s “Shake it Up,” Bella Thorne is working with Clorox to help spread the word and encourage votes from parents and teens in the Power A Bright Future program.  Bella is working closely with Clorox to make sure that K-12 schools can receive funds for programs that encourage students to be creative, active and tech and science savvy.

The entries are in and your votes are so important!  You all took the time to enter and now it’s time to make a difference. Power A Bright Future is a cause that parents and teens can get involved in together to help a K-12 school win a grant up to $50,000.

Here’s is how every one 13 or older can get involve!

  • VOTE ONCE A DAY ONLINE AND VIA TEXT—Through December 19th visit www.powerabrightfuture.com from a computer or mobile phone to do it, and you can check the site for your school’s text-to-vote code. Vote once online and once by text every day!
  • SHARE YOUR PHOTOS ON INSTAGRAM—If you have a teen 13 and older, encourage them to follow Bella Thorne on Instagram (@bellathornelovesyou) to see how Power A Bright Future grants can make a difference for K-12 schools. Bella is also calling on teens to tag their own photos on Instagram using #yolopabf to show how a Power A Bright Future grant can make a difference to their school.

It is hard to believe that school is almost back in session. I heard that a few schools have already started! That is just crazy! What even happened to school starting the Monday after Labor Day? That is always how it was when I was a kid. Maybe that was a Jersey thing?

Spencer is starting Kindergarten this year and Royal will be in 5th grade. I can’t believe it. Where have the years gone? Whether you have one starting school or continuing on to the next grade, SilverDolphin has a great selection of books for all ages. I am big fan of SilverDolphin and we own many or their books!

It is no secret around here that Spencer is a complete Dinosaur fanatic. Silver Dolphin has a amazing selection of Dinosaur books and, we own most of them.  The newest one we got is Sounds of the Wild: Dinosaurs. Spencer thinks the sounds are really funny but loves to mimic them.
