PostHeaderIcon Barber Foods Seasoned Selects (Giveaway)

Who hasn’t experienced a last-minute dilemma at dinnertime? You know, those nights when you have to make something out of nothing with absolutely no time. Think ketchup slathered on top of tomatoes because that’s the only thing left in the house, true story! Perhaps that’s not you, but many families are stricken by last-minute dinner drama and are in serious need of a “Dinner, rescued.” This is common for the boys and I at least 2 nights a week. Between play dates, sports, trips to the library and everything else, “OMG what to make” often hits us.

That’s why the kind folks at Barber Foods would love to introduce you to their new Seasoned Selects. Seasoned Selects are a new line of stuffed chicken breast entrees. They’re made with juicy, white meat chicken stuffed with savory combination’s of meat, cheese and vegetables. Unlike the traditional Barber Stuffed Breast, this new line is not breaded, but seasoned with a blend of herbs and spices. Did I mention they are also lower in calories, fat, and carbs! Seasoned Selects are a great dinner option for those nights when you need drama-free dinner prep. Just throw these entrees in the oven and get going on a quick salad or side dish. Barber Foods Seasoned Selects are a quick and unexpected dinner option that everyone in the family will love. They are available in Spinach Florentine, Broccoli Cheese, or Cordon Bleu!

I have to say that this was a product that made me smile.. Why? I love chicken! I would cook chicken and pasta 7 nights a week if the boys would let me. I think one of my worst Dinner Drama stories has to be when I was a kid. (I guess this would make it my mother’s dinner drama but I am totally stealing it)

My brothers and I were always involved in something, from Girl/Boy Scouts to sports and school events. My mom knew that she had an incredibly crazy week coming up so she made 2 lasagnas in advance. An important detail to this story is, for some reason, she was using aluminum pans. She never used these EVER so what happened next was a combination of the Polish that had rubbed off on her from my dad over the years and pure stupidity. She lifted up the first pan and if folded right in the middle and the entire thing went on the floor. Taby and Toby, our Bermise cats, immediately ran to help her clean it up. I thought she was going to cry. Without thinking (at least I hope she wasn’t thinking!) she grabbed the second pan and…….. yep, it folded in the middle. The cats had lasagna and we had peanut Butter and Jelly for 3 dinners that week :)

PostHeaderIcon Get ready for swimsuit season with Campbell’s (Giveaway)

One of the things that Spencer and I spent a lot of time eating this winter was soup. I have tried with Royal but he just wants no part of it. The variety of soups on the market at the moment is just crazy. One could easily stand there feeling completely overwhelmed with what to choose.

We have always heard that soup can be a secret weapon in weight loss. Research has shown that when people eat soup before a meal they are more likely to eat less at that meal overall, and helps you feel full longer because of the higher water content. Now, the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, the new government recommendations on what people should eat, recognize the power of soup as well! The report states that “soup, particularly broth or water-based soups, may lead to decreased calorie intake and body weight over time.”

With swimsuit season coming, we are all looking for a delicious way to eat well and better manage our weight as we inch closer to the “season”. Campbell’s Select Harvest Light soups contain only 80 calories or less per serving. With varieties like Minestrone with Whole Grain Pasta and Savory Chicken with Vegetables, you can enjoy a great tasting bowl of soup that is also a smart decision for your waistline.

In addition, all 11 Select Harvest Light varieties are 100% Natural, meaning they contain no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. These soups also use high-quality, real ingredients and contain no MSG.

Giveaway: To help you enjoy these soups I am giving away a Campbell’s Select Harvest Light soup kit filled with (4) Crate and Barrel Soup Bowls (these are way cuter in person), (1)  One Porcelain Ladle and Campbell’s Select Harvest full-value coupons so you can try some soup for free!
