I was watching TV yesterday when a new commercial came on for Post-It Removable Labels. I had actually never heard of them before but loved the idea! Then silly me remembered that I received a package of samples and these were in there! Instead of having the traditional adhesive strip like a Post-It note, these have an entire backing of adhesive so the entire label sticks! I loved this idea for the bins in the boys playroom. I will switch to a more traditional label in the future but for now these are working great! My friend Dawn is a complete Post-It addict and I call her when any of the office supply stores have them on a great deal!

Since the day I received my first Mabel’s Labels I was in love with them. Any product that can stay on through a season of 7 year old baseball sweat, gets my glowing recommendation! MANY years ago I fell in love with those “locking” containers. You know the brand…. They sell them on the TV shopping channels all the time. I was completely obsessed with these containers when they came out and I probably had well over 50 of them. Every shape and size they sold! FANTASTIC INVENTION! Right? WRONG! After using them for a short period of time, I realized that I wasn’t as in love with them as I first thought! I spent a lot of money on them and a few years later, I don’t own one piece anymore.

Problems with the “OTHER” Brand

Issue #1: It wasn’t as easy to line up the lids as you see on TV.
Issue #2: Despite their claim that they do not leak or pop open, both happened to me storing spaghetti gravy
Issue #3: Instant staining!
Issue #4: Locking and unlocking them was a real pain. There is no ease in closing them so definitely not good for anyone who has difficulties using their hands.

Every time a box come to my house with the Rubbermaid Logo on it, it is like a kid on Christmas morning! Is there such thing as having to many Rubbermaid containers? I surely think not!

The set that I received included a 15-cup, 5.2-cup and 3.7-cup  as well as a 5-cup square once. There are several reasons why I would recommend the Rubbermaid Lock-Its over that other brand. The most important one being that it is a better product and cost less than the other brand!

The lids sit nicely on the tops and lock with almost no effort at all! Spencer (2) can even close and open them with no problem. All of the sizes seem to be exactly what you need. I am always debating one being to big or to little for the amount of stuff I want to put in it. I haven’t done that yet with these!

Rubbermaid is no longer for just food. Think totally outside the box! I have several containers around my office including this one which holds our strange but large Sharpie collection!
