PostHeaderIcon Kleenex Back to School Field Trip Sweepstakes

Kleenex to the rescue! It seems like the day I turned 30 my head decided it would develop allergies. I am sure mine are not as bad as some but they definitely kick my butt when they decide to show up. I go through A LOT of Kleenex when this happens. There isn’t a place you could go near me and not find tissues… My bedroom, bathroom, living room, purse and even my Jeep. I normally just keep full sized boxes in my Jeep but Kleenex has a new Auto Pack. They feature the same soft Kleenex tissue you love, perfectly packaged to fit in the door pocket or wedged between the seats or visor.  I used to use the little wallet size ones but these are a lot better.

NEW!! Kleenex brand on-the-go formats:

  • The Kleenex brand is adding a new line of on-the-go packs with Sneeze Shield this back to school season to make it easy to help keep stuff off kids’ hands in the classroom, on field trips, at home or wherever kids go.
  • The on-the-go packages include:
  • The wallet pack. It is thin and sleek, so you can always keep a tissue on hand. Their trendy design and convenient size make it the perfect accessory for hip tweens and teens.
  • The auto pack. It fits perfectly in the car door or glove compartment – no need to lug around a box of tissue or fumble in a purse for a tissue while driving.
  • The new and improved pocket pack. A long-time favorite has been improved to feature three-ply tissue.
  • The new line of Kleenex brand on-the-go products will be available in the facial tissue aisle at retailers nationwide starting this July.

Just in time for the 2011 – 2012 school year, Kleenex brand facial tissues is committing $500,000 to help schools across America keep field trips as a part of the educational curriculum.

PostHeaderIcon Go Low Cal with Crystal Light Mocktails

Summer has officially kicked off  and one of my favorite things about the season is entertaining outdoors.  Since I a live in an apartment with only a small Patio, I am thankful to my good friend who does have one! Potlucks, BBQ’s, picnics and pool parties – all the more enjoyable while sipping a refreshing beverage as we soak it all in.

Call it a cooler, colada, spritzer, blitz, julep or non-tini, the “mocktail,” a non-alcoholic cocktail bursting with flavor is shaking things up this summer! Check out the New Crystal Light Mocktails! These babies are available for a limited time only in three delicious, low-calorie flavors - Margarita, Mojito and Appletini.

I am a big Crystal Light drinker already so when I heard about these I was pretty excited to try them. Crystal Light gives women a new reason to love summer with new, limited-edition Mocktails in three fun flavors – Margarita, Mojito and Appletini! Crystal Light Mocktails are available in multi-serve canisters with five 2-quart packets so there is always enough to share AND the contain just 5 calories and 0 carbohydrates per 8 fl. oz. serving!

I received to try the Appletini and the Margarita. While I am not a big fan lime, I gave the Margarita a try first. I will admit that I was not at all liking this one. I really have no other way to word this than the scent reminded me of a soap that I can’t quite put my finger on. Maybe Limes have this strange taste and I just didn’t know about it but not a fan of this one.

Next I tried the Appletini. This one is REALLY delicious. It was not really strong and it smells wonderful, like granny smith apples but it doesn’t have a lot of that sour flavor that the apple itself does. I would drink this over classic lemonade any day

What is your favorite summer beverage when entertaining or attending summer parties? What is your go-to beverage you drink while you are out to keep your figure without counting the calories?

PostHeaderIcon SmartKnit Kids Seamless Undies

Seamless Undies

I fell in love with the SmartKnits brand last year when my son would do nothing but complain about the “bumps” in his socks. They make a fantastic line of seamless socks that saved my mornings! They have now come out with seamless undies!

The boys were so funny when I told them that I had underwear like their favorite socks. Since Spencer just finished potty training, he is still getting used to wearing underwear all the time. He always complains about the front of them. When I put the SmartKnit Undies on him he said, “It’s soooo soft and look! No bumps!” He really hates the opening in the font of traditional underwear.

“Once upon a time, in a not so far away place called Kansas, there was a little bug named Bugsley. Bugsley hated seams and made it his mission to help get rid of all those “lumps and bumps” where ever they may live. One day, Bugsley came to SmartKnitKIDS with a very special request from parents and kids. He was hearing story after story about how kiddos all across the land hated those annoying seams and binding elastic bands in underwear. Bugsley, being the kind bug that he was, wanted to help these kids and knew SmartKnitKIDS would have the answer. So they set out on their mission to develop the softest, most comfortable, and COMPLETELY SEAMLESS underwear. Bugsley and SmartKnitKIDS worked tirelessly in the top secret lab closely inspecting yarns for the softest materials, developing a super unique design to set the underwear apart from the rest, and programming a special knitting plan. They anxiously awaited for those first samples to come out and Bugsley exclaimed, “We’ve got it, little Seamless Undies without a single seam!” He ran out to the world to share the good news. And they all lived seamlessly ever after!”

NO SEAMS TO BUG YA

Completely free of seams! SmartKnits patent pending kids’ undies are designed to provide comfort and relief to children who struggle with those bothersome seams. Soft Material “Hugs” Little Bottoms Soft, super stretchy yarns for undies that are soft against the skin and create a form-fitting design to “hug” little bottoms. Comfortable  Non-Binding Waist and Legs Seamless Undies’ soft, stretchable waist and leg openings are comfortable for sensitive kiddos. No elastic to bind or be a source of irritation.

PostHeaderIcon Having a Party?! Party City has it all!

It amazes me that my “baby” is now 8 years old. My life was so very different when he came into it. If I could go back I would have enjoyed more of the little moments with him. I am happy to say that I am enjoying EVER moment with him now!

For his birthday he begged for a Transformers party. I wasn’t sure how I was going to pull it off but I knew that my baby was getting his party! The folks at Party City were VERY generous is providing us with EVERYTHING we needed for his bash! (Well except for the food and someone to cook it for me! :) ) Thankfully I was able to hit Party City without the boys and had a great experience!

I don’t think that there is anything you could need for a party that they didn’t have and for any type of party you could be having! I actually saw a couple who was doing a end of summer bash and they had a cart full of some awesome stuff. Here is a list of just some of the stuff that I picked on my trip around Party City. Plates, Cups, Pinata, Candy, Small toys that were only $.10 for the Pinata, Party Hats, Utensils, Balloons, Drink Bucket, Goodie bags, Thank You cards, wrapping paper, serving trays, dip trays, serving utensils, helium tank and a much more! I walked around for over an hour! I honestly felt like a kid in a candy store with full pockets of change.

The experience was a very pleasant one. The isles are all set up in a nice layout and ORGANIZED! I only had a problem finding the isle with the serving items. I knew it was there but had somehow walked passed it half a dozen times. I was distracted by all of the “purdy” colors! I was super happy to see that a good portion of the Transformer stuff had also been marked down to 50% off!  As with any store, there were a few items that I thought were a bit pricey (such as the plastic disposable Transformer table clothes were over $7 regular price *gasp*)

We also hit Party City every Halloween to check out their HUGE line of costumes. The one thing that sets Party City aside from other stores at Halloween is there is no disaster area of costumes all over the place that people have ripped through. They have 3 walls full of images, each numbered. You tell them which one you would like and what size. One the costume is sold out they put an X on it so you are not wasting your time asking for items they no longer have. One of my favorite things about going there for costumes.
