This year seemed to blow by for us and Christmas is just around the corner. It’s amazing to even say that! Of course that means here comes holiday shopping. The large amount of spending over such a small period of time, can increase the chances for identity theft and identity fraud. Simply being a smart shopper can reduce your chances but, it doesn’t necessarily ensure you have done enough to reduce all the risks surrounding identity theft during the holiday shopping season. Sometimes drastic times calls for drastic measures (I know this all to well) and this season might be the right time to go above and beyond the normal “tips and suggestions” that we hear about.
Halloween is a crazy time of year. Around here it might be even as hectic as Christmas. Seems impossible right? The boys want to be everything they see. Just when they decide on one, they see another that is better. The price of costumes is really ridiculous these days so picking one is important not only for them but for us as well.
I went to every local store and was faced with crappy quality costumes for a ludicrous price. Then I received an email about Just Kid Costumes. I am not sure why it is called this because they have adult costumes as well. While they have much higher prices costumes, they do have a cute selection of inexpensive ones. They have an entire selection of cheap Halloween costumes. Most of these are under $20.
This site isn’t just for Halloween costumes either! They also have the following selection:
- Fourth Of July Costumes
- Christmas Costumes
- Cinco De Mayo Costumes
- Easter Costumes
- Everyday Costumes
- Mardi Gras Costumes
- Purim Costumes
- St. Patrick’s Day Costumes
- Thanksgiving Costumes
- Santa Suits

The one thing that makes me more interested in a brand is interaction. For some reason, it really bugs me to be on Twitter and see brands who don’t follow consumers back, who’s accounts are all auto feeds or they just post links.
One day on Twitter, I received a tweet from JoeShopping. For the life of me I can’t remember what it was but I remember it made me laugh. I started to interact with the account and learned that the tweets were from a guy named Andrew, (and sometimes Adam). He is a very nice and funny guy. (Andrew you still owe me a buttered roll!)
I have been meaning to write this post and was reminded today when I saw their tweet about their blogging contest. Now you are probably wondering what the heck is Joe Shopping? Well, why don’t we let them tell you? “JoeShopping.com is a price comparison site where you can compare prices on millions of products from hundreds of stores to find the lowest price. You can also use coupons, sales and the best deals to make sure you’re getting the best price when you do your online shopping. With shopping blogs, product reviews and a very active social shopping community, JoeShopping.com is truly the place, “Where you never shop alone.””
I signed up (Totally free) for the website and started poking around. It is a cool website that I would suggest having a look at if you are looking for a place to find the best deal.
I am off to collect my roll now
