PostHeaderIcon #Free PlayTown Story Building App for ages 3-9

It’s amazing how  kids as young as 2, can grab a phone or iPod, unlock it, and find their way to their favorite apps. I don’ t know about you but I am pretty sure I was probably eating dirt when I was 2. There are so many apps available for kids these days, it’s hard to go through them all and find the great ones.

Look no further… I don’t normally post about apps but when I was asked to check this one out, I was glad I did and had to share it with you. It’s called PlayTown: My Story Maker and it is a wonderful new app for kids, ages 3-9. To be honest, I had fun with it myself.

It is a simple to use app that explains everything when you enter your name. I love that you can change the facial expressions and even add fun little trinkets to your story. You can add characters and even your own image to the story. It offers a lot of story enhancements like background changes, and a number of props. Next you narrate and select the music for your story. Once you have completed your personalized story, you can share it with friends and family!

PostHeaderIcon Teaching your Toddler to Ride a Bike (Giveaway)

Spencer is 4 years old and it is about time he started learning to ride a bike. My oldest son is almost 9 and still can’t ride.  Sadly his brand new bike is just hanging in a garage and he can’t use it. H will know how to ride by the end of this summer because Mom will make sure of it.
So, I am sitting on my couch realizing that I didn’t put Spencer’s bike together. OH NO! I have to go pick them up in 30 minutes. There is no way I can put the bike together that fast. I rip the bike open and let out a huge sign of relief. The only thing you have to do to the Kinderbike is put the dandle bars on and a reflector. I was pleased with this.
The boys come home and I give Spencer the bike. He gets on all excited and then I hear it from my oldest, “Huh? Mom? What the?” It seems the bike has no pedals. Oh great, I knew putting that together seemed way to easy. I looked in the box, nothing. Oh great, I didn’t get all the pieces. I go online and hope on and check the Kinderbike out. NO PEDALS! It is isn’t meant to ride but to teach your little ones balance first.
You will be impressed with the Kinderbike Laufrad. The bike is extremely lightweight and sturdy, it is made with a 6061 Aluminum alloy frame weighing roughly 9lb. We took the bike to the park a few days in a row. Spencer got right on it and actually did pretty good. He had more trouble with keeping the wheel steady than he did balancing. In just a few days he had it down pretty well.
